Midlife Crisis is my first special after quitting the corporate life which I had been doing for over about 13 years in total. The special will illustrate my outtakes as an immigrant who moved to a new country without knowing either anyone or the language and had to go through a lot of ups and downs to finally set his foot down and pursue what he likes best, although the society or family might not think the same.

It is a show full of real experiences of a non-EU student studying in Germany which includes many socially awkward moments, cultural differences and personal stories which could make you laugh hard to silently because some of the jokes are too dark to be laughed out loud publicly!
Making Germans Laugh
I moved to Germany to do my master with the intention of moving to the US, but Trump being elected as the president and his travel ban for Iranians made me think twice about staying in Germany. Staying here, I did not want to be an immigrant who steals jobs from the locals, so I started my own careers of stand up comedy.

Doing open mics on a regular basis to find my way through, I am happy I have been able to turn the passion of comedy into career, doing comedy in three languages, opening for some stars such as Max Amini, Negah Amiri, and Tamer Kattan as well as organizing weekly English comedy nights in Hamburg for over four years.
​
I am not sure how the journey will go, and whether I will be a star selling out arenas in different continents, but I am pretty sure I am having fun by making Germans laugh because if you can make them laugh, you can travel around and be sure you can make everyone laugh!
Burning Mic Comedy Show
Although I do comedy shows in three languages (English, German, and Persian), my favorite language to perform comedy in is English. The structure of sentences, word choice and the fame comedy has made in English speaking countries, makes English comedy nights specially joyful to me. Therefore, in May 2022 and right after the covid vaccines gave us the permission to go out again, I decide to start a weekly comedy show in Hamburg to have more chances of performing as well as building a community of international people who share a similar experience and background.

The show I started with little hope of it surviving even the summer that year grow into a big project which has been going on non stop for the past 4 years with over 400 shows which brought more than twenty thousand guests into laughter.
​
It has been a journey, and I am so curious to see new talents coming to the international scene in Hamburg and making more and more Hamburgers laugh, despite the typical gray sky and wet days we go through in the city.
