Yeah, that’s me leaning against a wall, bearing the heaviness of being a comedian in Germany!
I started doing comedy right before the pandemic hit the world, amazing timing, absolutely! After almost two years of waiting, I began doing shows more often in 2022, mostly in German because we did not have much going on in English. However, having done my master in English Philology, I would have loved to do more and more shows in English for my self confidence as I didn’t have to think of my grammar and choice of words while talking. So, I started my own show with the name Burning Mic Comedy Show in May 2022.
It has been a really fun ride ever since, doing over 100 shows a year, opening shows for stars like Max Amini and Negah Amiri, and finally doing my first ever solo special ”From Tehran to Reeperbahn” in May 2024. My main focus is on observations in daily life and life of expats in Europe, mainly Germany, culture shocks and little sparkles of dark humor.
